Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the use of pictures to improve vocabulary mastery. It was taken about 2 weeks. The research design is quantitative case study method based on approach. The instruction is given to one sample group. The group is given pre-test before the treatment, and after the treatment the group is given post-test to find out the effects of the treatment. This study is experimental research with two groups of sample for experimental and control group. Each group consist of 25 students for experimental group and control group. To get the data which were depeloved to collect data were objective test with consist of 20 items inform of multiple choice test. After collecting and calculating the data the researcher found out that the main scores of experimental group in pre –test and post-test 4.476 and 4.303 it means that t-test value was lower than t-table value and it indicates that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected.
